Privacy notice

How we handle your enquiry.

Metric Design Engineering Pty Ltd (ABN 74 662 708 910) · Last updated 16 September 2026

This notice describes what happens to the details you give us through the enquiry forms on quote.metriceng.au, and how this website measures its own advertising. It is written to match what the site actually does.

A reference number we generate (for example Q-7KX4M2PD), the date and time, which page the form was on, a hashed version of your connection's IP address and your browser type.To find your enquiry again, stop automated spam and detect duplicate submissions.
The page you first landed on, the website that referred you (domain only), and any advertising parameters in the link you arrived on (Google Ads click identifiers and UTM tags). To learn which advertising brings genuine engineering enquiries. This is stored in your browser and sent with your enquiry; it contains no personal details.
Your answer to "How did you find us?" if you choose one.Same purpose as above.

Where it goes

Analytics and advertising measurement

The site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. When an enquiry is accepted, the confirmation page sends a "lead" event to Google that contains the enquiry reference number, the service you chose and the form used. It never contains your name, email address, phone number or brief, and your personal details never appear in a web address. Google sets its own cookies for these services; you can block them in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out tools. This site stores three small values in your browser (landing page and campaign parameters, and the reference of an enquiry you just submitted) so that the confirmation page can show your reference and count the enquiry once.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry becomes a project, your details form part of the project file and are kept as part of our engineering records. Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months so we can respond if you come back to us, and are then deleted from the enquiry store. Automated spam is kept only for as long as needed to tune our spam controls. Email delivery records are kept by Resend under its own retention settings.
